just saying there is a ticking noise could make it hard to guess what it is, if the sound is coming from the head then yes, it depends on if it is more of a clicking noise or a slight knock too. but i dont want to freak you out either. good luck!

Without really hearing the sound, it might be the Cam Chain Tensioner (CCT). When does the noise occur, when you're driving or when the bike idling? If it only makes the noise when idling, does it only happen when the bike is cold?
