so i found this bike i really like when i was looking under the f3 sub-forum and the title was called project 96 f3( i think) and Gunnar( i think thats how u spell his user name) has this solo tail i am trying to find. i asked shark skinz they said no. so i tried contacting gunnar, he didnt respond. so now i am asking my fellow f3's. and hopefully soon ill post up my project after i get all the parts finished :-)

so if you guys could help that would be great!

 

check with Targa or Airtech. They should both have one.

as far as the tail is concerned I don't think Airtech does this one neither... did you want exactly that tail ? They have other choices... just in case (mabe you have it already) here is the site http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/...0F31995-96.htm

I'll have to check air tech and targa also ian pretty sure that this tail can be used with the stock seat or a foam pad and if you look by the pet **** and where the fairing bolts go for the tail it just has a single hole not a line in it. I hope you guys know what I mean haha. And thank you for helping me look for this tail some of the web sites you posted were for the 95 and older f3's mines a 98 just so u guys know! Thank you for looking if you guys find it post a reply!

 

If I had to guess it looks like it's from airtech the supersport tail but at the same time it doesn't look like it I don't know.

I'm sorry, did not get your CBR was from 98... ;-)
I went to the Airtech site after what you wrote... the tail you would like is more straight whereas Airtech's one is rounder in a way...
What I am doing, as at times I ride with my wife, is getting a seat cowl from Powerbronze... this way most of the times when I ride alone I ride in a mono seat and when we can ride together I can take the seat cowl away...
Don't know how it will go on the original seat but should you wish I could post some pics if this could help?
