And BTW it is much better to do this all at "ride height" or basicly not like i did with the rear stand only. It looked perfect on the stand but once i took it off the front plastic sat to high and i had to remount it all.

I just purchased a 1996 CBR F3 (first bike I ever purchased back in '04 so I decided to get one again) that was a race bike made street legal. It's got 3200 miles on it and it shows... well on the engine at least. As for the plastics, not so much. The guy did a "custom" job of his own and decided he would put in two fog lights for headlights and glue them into the holes cut in the plastics. Same goes for the rear tail light. Not to mention the wonderful wiring job he did.

I don't know if you can tell from the pic but the bike stands a little too straight as well because he added a piece of rebarb to lengthen the kickstand.

Well, hopefully by riding season I'll have me a new F3/F4i to ride. I'm in the process of purchasing a complete set of '02 F4i fairings with the wrong color paint as the only problem with them.
Thanks for the guide.

Awesome job. I just got smoked by a cager and thankfully its only cosmetic damage. I'm going to take the opportunity to do what you did with the f4i fairings. Everything seems straight forward, only question is how did you wire the headlights up? Were there any modifications requried?
Thanks,
Chris

taillight is straight forward but you'll have to either wire it direct or make up a plug since the 600rr plug and the F3 plug are different. headlight i just used a couple relays to get them to work like the F4i. they are controlled by the stock f3 headlight switch and i fed them power from the battery so i could up the wattage if i wanted.
