Q.How did running an intake camshaft on the exhaust effect the "rideability" of the your F3?
A. Erm im not too sure to be honest compared to standard i took this engine and it got built with a flowed head my power peaks at 12.3k rpm and is fairly steady gain although power below 5k has been sacrificed, i can slowly ride through the pits and can also cruise at 140mph no issues but my gearing is 14/47 so having shorter gearing make make it harder to drive low down.
Q.Anything I should be warned about with this mod?
A. Erm you just need to do valve clearences when installing it and maybe rejet slightly but nothing major, make sure the camshaft is aligned properly if unsure on how to do that get a professional to do it

jackojeff,
How did running an intake camshaft on the exhaust effect the "rideability" of the your F3? I am interested in this modification. However, I ride street only (fast roads). Is this modification easy to dial in (jetting)? Anything I should be warned about with this mod?
Thanks,
Mike

Oops binned the bike at cadwell this ladies and gents is why you dont see red when riding a bike, went out with the fuel turned off lost a lot of places got angry started riding it on the ragged line came a cropper when i went in too hot and was going to cause a 3 bike pile up tried to avoid them and ran out of rubber i would have known if i wasnt fuming. On another note i got a steelie sliding into a few corners that lap it may not have been sideways mich but it felt rather big to me
Now modifying the original clip ons to go under the yoke and putting a better rad on as im having overheating issues as well as an exhaust wrap

Had nothing to say, but a very interested in this thread... I have a build going on myself on the Fireblade forum so it's nice to piggy back off successful projects...

Hello, I was reading your thread. I see you cut the OEM air filter to supposedly turn it into a HRC. Won't this set up allow small particles to enter the motor and cause premature wear? I'm still building my track bike, and I'm just picking brains here and there to make my bike more competitive. One thing I do not want to do as of yet is engine mods (like pistons and cams) that's just too costly and I do not have the motor building background as of yet to commit to such a project. Please share your thoughts.
