MotoGP 2013 - Austin, TX, Circuit of the Americas
I'm going to go to the Inaugural MotoGP race in Austin, TX, April 19-21, 2013. I'll be taking a couple of weeks off of work, leaving S. FL on the 13th and back home by the 27th.

If I could predict my work schedule, I'd be more enthused.
It's almost my backyard after all. I would dig a chance to meet-up!
Right now, I'm in holding pattern. Interested, but unable to commit.

Holding pattern !! You've got to be kidding. With this amount of advance notice I don't see how an organization can't live without you for 5 or 6 days. We're planning on taking the long way there which will add about 300 or so more miles to our trip. We want to be able to pick up a few extra states like Arkansas and Oklahoma. We'll be probably passing through Broken Bow and Idabel OK. Naturally we have to pass through Texarkana, TX too. I mean, c'mon we're right there.

If I go gonna have to be solo, DD has state testing and writing exam that week.
Since they're moving to teacher evaluations graded off her little monsters results,
she's gonna have to pass. She is encouraging me to go for it, though.
I've got a friend that lives in Austin, so I might even have a cheap place to stay.
The price...she's actually DD's buddy, and a bit of a ding-bat. Thank god, her husband
is sane, lol.
I'm gonna explore the possibilities and see if I can make it happen.

Talked to the boss, I'm solid. Looking around at hotels, found
a Red Roof Inn South for $219 for 4 days, Thursday check-in till Monday check-out.
$89 for the general admission, $100 bucks for gas. Might be able to hook-up with some of the Tulsa Sport Riders, for the ride down.
