Default Modify helmet or purchase new one??

Hey guys,

So I'm looking to integrate bluetooth into my riding experience. My question is simple, do I modify my current helmet or purchase a new one with bluetooth already built in? Looking for opinions on you guys who have gone either way, that would steer me to my decision.

I'm sure price has something to do with this questions, but I'm also looking at the quality or the experience I would get with each choice.

Thanks everyone and stay safe!

I've had the sena bluetooth installed in my helmet for 3-4 yrs now and have had no issues. I dont go easy on it, speed, ride in rain all the time, left rubber charger port cover off many times, even survived couple minor crashes (road didnt directly impact sena unit) I use it to listen to music, communicate on group rides, etc No complaints. I would get a separate bluetooth unit because then you have so much more helmet options to choose from
Edit : Also don't see the install impacting helmet safety any significant amount as all you do is clamp it to the bottom edge, probably would damage helmet more by accidentally dropping it
