lack of power funny sound
it was the carbs. when I opened the float bowl on #3 carb I could see a clob of gunk on the main jet. some kind of wax or grease. the mechanic that jetted my carbs 3 months ago put to much I guess and it got in there. its used to seal the bowl cover to carb. she revs like a champ. its raining so I can't take her out but I'm confident that was it. but now check this. when I rev it uo to 10k white smoke (not much) come out the exhaust. only on the rev down. any ideas on that? what ever its not much and I don't see it effecting performance. you guys rock.
ah a chunk of stuff does explain the bump ordeal, glad you got it corrected, white smoke usually means you are burning antifreeze.... a light blue smoke would indicate oil. It also might just be the engine burning off some carbon deposits it collected when it wasn't running right.... I would say run it at some mid-to high RPMs and see if it appears to thin out....
