kick stand issues
My bike doesnt seem to lean as much as every other bike i've seen when it is parked. I think the bike may have been lowered at some point but the kickstand is still long. Today my bike fell over while it was just parked and that was the final straw. Has anyone had this issue before? I was thinking about just hacking off a tiny bit of the kickstand to make it lean right. Any advice would help.
ive taken them and cut the foot off the stand, then hack off what you need and weld the foot back on to the peg. what you can do is have someone help you, and lean your bike to the stance you want, get a tape measurer and measure how long the stand will need to be and voila. (easier said than done if you dont have the right tools though. im sure your local machining shop can do it for you for pretty cheap)

These bikes do tend to stand more upright than others I've seen as well. My 1000F leans more. I'd be surprised if you bike was lowered though because I don't think you'd be able to use the original stand without cutting it (I could be wrong though). My wife didn't like the way the bike stood so tall, so we had the stand shortened on her bike. Only removed about 1/4" and it made quite a difference.
