Default Jump/Bypass Fuel Cut Relay

My bike is pretty close to running again. I wnt to bypass/jump the fuel cut relay.

First of all, I have a FSM. I have checked it and this website for help.

I have a 3 wire relay plug: Blk/Wht, Blk/Blue, Blue/Ylw

The FSM says to bridge using the "Blk and Blu/Blk wires"

Can someone tell me which wires to jump? I understand the "Blk/Blu" wire, but which other? There is no "blk" wire.

Those other two wires eventually end up at the coils and rt hand controls

Thanks.

i know the wiring pretty well so i'll try to help out here but you'll have to tell me for what purpose you're wanting to bridge the relay? i see no benefit assuming you want it pumping all the time.

and what this fsm abbreviation is haha

black/blue goes straight to the fuel pump

black/white goes to the red 4p connector for kill switch and starter on the bars. also icm & coils.

blue/yellow goes to coil 2-3 & icm.

black runs from the fusebox for ignition (red 4p connector), solenoid valve for the ram air & to the icm.

thank you for responding to my question.

The FSM is the Factory Service Manual. It says to jump/bypass the relay to determine if the relay is in fact bad.... It will also tell me if my fuel pump is good or bad.

Thanks again for the info.

ahhh got you, see its typically called a workshop manual here, heard it called a service manual but never a factory service manual or fsm lolz

you could put 12v to the pump straight from the battery as well, i would also check you have continuity between the blue/yellow a the fuel cut relay with the icm unit and the coil end as means of diagnosis. it uses the same signal to ground that the coils use to fire... rewiring a bike from scratch is fun... honest hahaha

best of luck dude

Just wanted to post up that I didn't bypass the relay.

I put a new battery in and tried to start the bike. I had my hand on the pump and could feel it "work" while I was cranking the bike. I guess it only cranks while the engine is turning.

Needless to say, my fuel pump relay and pump are both working.

Thanks for the input....

glad to hear it man yeah it takes signal from the same wire that tells the coil when to spark and that only happens when the engines turning over.
