Interchangeable Parts???
I have a '95. I have my buddy's '98 in my garage right now trying to see how easy it would be to get a '98 rear fairing and light set ti fit mine, to update my looks. Shouldn't be bad.
I just took a look at a pic of a 900RR and the frame/subframe looked damn simialr to the F3. Does anyone know for certain if the frame and/or subframe of the F3 are the same as used on any other model bike, like the 900RR... and how interchangeable parts would be? ie: fairings, engine, suspensoin, etc... I know, looks can be decieving so I might be way off...
Thanks,

RE: Interchangeable Parts???
I know that the 98 F3 has a different seat and tail than yours and I believe the subframe is different. F2/F3 subframes are welded to the main frame unlike the 900RR.
As far as 900RR parts, the bikes are WAAAYYY different and not much of any thing will bolt up, anything is possible with some machine work, but you may take a good handling bike and make it scary trying to update it. First off the forks on your F3 are 41mm and the 900 has 45mm tubes, the 900 has a aluminum frame and f3's are steel, so the steering head is not the same I believe. also the 900 clip ons would more than likely hit the fairing on your F3 if you did make the swap. The CBR900 didnt have body work that "connected" from nose to tail like the F3, so retrofitting some body parts would leave big gaps
