Looking at getting another F3 doner bike i can take the running gear off redo and swap onto my 98CBR600FV so im not off the road while im working on the parts.
My problem is there arnt that many 98CBR600FV in the UK available for sales or repair but there are a few earlier models. Im really thinking of running gear ie forks wheels swinging arm brakes etc.
Can anybodytell me what parts are interchangable on F3 models.

Kjohnson is mostly correct. All parts are definitely interchangeable, but if you get into some of the body components you will need to swap out mounting points, brackets, etc. I am specifically thinking of the tail swap on a 95-96 up to a 97-98 where you need to swap the seat, the light housing bracket, the tail fairings, and the light.
If you are ever in doubt about parts interchange, just check out the fische I posted on my website. I have both a 1995 and a 1998 version up there: http://www.omninate.com/cbr600f3/.
Cheers! And good luck!

1) I bought an 97 F3 wheel off craigslist that did not fit my 95 F3 - and I saw it physically on a 97 F3 when I went to get it from the seller
2) The fische shows different part numbers for 95-96 and 97-98 for the wheel set.

omninate,
Thanks for the link to your site I have downloaded a copy of both and intend to check against each other over the week end. It wil be invaluable to have both I have ralised thanks mate.
As for spacers and the like Im able to create my own so that type of thing wont be too much of an issue its th main mechanical components that I need to confirm as being the same parts.
Thanks again
Andy

I think you might be correct, for a couple reasons...
1) I bought an 97 F3 wheel off craigslist that did not fit my 95 F3 - and I saw it physically on a 97 F3 when I went to get it from the seller
2) The fische shows different part numbers for 95-96 and 97-98 for the wheel set.

I have a mish-mosh of F2 and F3 parts and I have yet to find any other difference between a 96 (black) front wheel or a 98 (SJ Yellow). Not arguing, just adding my 2 pennies.
Same goes for fuel tanks.Only difference is paint. On the F2 tanks it's paint and fuel petcock.
