Default Info on F4i piston in F3

Anyone have first hand experience with boring an f3 and using the 67mm f4i pistons? I'm trying to figure out what head gasket to run when putting it back together. I know the wiseco big bore kits come with a special gasket, what's different the hole size around the cylinder? I have a new stock head gasket, if i can use it that'd be great.
I read some where(f2 board maybe) that the cylinder sleeves have a coating on them and you have to use a diamond hone, etc. So what happens to this coating after boring? Anybody wanna let me pick their brain?

Yes the 12:1 compression F4i is the cheap 67mm 637cc replacement with a 2mm difference over stock. You will need a 67mm big bore gasket from cbrzone.

CBRZone Gaskets

You will have to change cams and get adjustable cam sprockets too. There is a cheap way of doing this which Chuck Miller has done. F4i intake cam and then move the F3 intake cam to the exhaust side. Cbrzone also lightens you crankshaft 2lbs for under $250. Doing a larger throttle tube and big bore with a lightened crank, it will be a screamer!

You will need: Lightening and +2mm Bore is around $400, F4i pistons and Intake camshaft around $75 on ebay. 67mm big bore head gasket, $82 on Cbrzone. Complete Gasket & seal kit $200. Plus adustable cam gear and timing gear $90 on cbrzone.

Thanks for all the knowledge. sounds like you answered all my questions, even the ones i didn't ask yet.

Is the crank lightening necessary, or just a bonus?
Im trying not to sink a small fortune in a 45k mile bike I don't plan to keep. I'm only doing the swap to repair the damage from piston hitting exhaust valve.

Crank lightening is a bonus for faster revving.

I know the F3 is outdated, but this will bring it all up to date real quick. Just my opinion.
Aftermarket bigger headers and a jet kit. It will be nastier than a new bike for a fraction of the cost.

This is Chuck. I did this and was a great motor until. The wrist clip on one side of the #2 piston came out. In the end the rod broke into 3 pieces and blew out the side of the case.

I recommend using an OEM gasket kit.The stock Honda head gasket can be cut to fit.If CBRzone uses Cometic gaskets, those head gaskets are hit-and-miss,meaning half of them go bad very soon.Vesrah makes wonderful gasket kits also.

If I recall correctly,an F4 motor will bolt right in.I may get around to finding that out for myself.
