I smell coolant

check the radiator cap to see if it holds pressure. the coolant smell may be escaping from there. also, let it run until you have pressure in the system (unless you have access to a pressure checker) then look around at all of the hoses, water pump, radiator, and engine to see if there is a leak. is it low on coolant, overheating, or smell like burned coolant in the exhaust?

I noticed the same smell, but I was riding bellow 10 degrees C, thats like 42F I think... I heard when you do this the rad will dump super cold coolant into the engine which is not good.
But as the weather got much warmer the smell went away and never came back- only on the cold days did I notice it. I also have a 95 F3

Well i did what you said i pulled the fairings off and let the bike warm up. the smell was there and there are no visible leak. I did notice the smell was coming from the left side and that my radiator fan never turned on. How Hot does it have to be for the fan to kick in?( the temp gauge stayed level in between hot and cold) I also remember that last fall i was riding in cold temps and the next day there was a small puddle of coolant on the ground but nothing after that just the smell.
