Default I need facts on this, not speculation please!

Ok guys, here's the deal... My uncle (Frank) has a 2008 CBR600RR (stock) & he said his bike will beat my 1996 CBR600f3 Smokin' Joes's edition (stock)! If we were to race say 1/4 mile or a mile long stretch, who would win? My uncle
Weighs 165lbs & I weigh 270lbs! Your help in resolving this matter is greatly
Appreciated!!!

almost any motorcycle comes down to skill where they are relativly close.
He has you on power, technology and weight, So he has the advantage.
The smokin joe isn't any faster then the other F3's, Just a different colour.

Stats:

F3: RWHP - 90.2, Top Speed - 153, 0-60mph - 3.36, 1/4mile - 11.03s

RR: RWHP - 99.6, Top Speed - 158.3, 0-60mph - 3.18, 1/4mile - 10.89s

Tadeo Baba said the meaning of light weight = swift excelerating. In your case, fact about weight differences cannot be ignore...he has a weight advantage over you in body weight...no even mention bike's dry weight. Newer bikes today have shed weight significantly...

If sole on weight...the RR will be dominant. If body weight is same...your riding skill, quick shifting, hard excelerating may
make up the slight differences.... I think you just have to take his RR for a test run & you should be able to feel the differences. But, the smoking joe is no doubt, one of a kind collector's treasure...I would not compare it with
today's bike...if I want more power, I'll go up a class...

Default My f3

I plan on laying out all my bike has to offer cuz the rr is the bike I learned on IMO my bike gets up alot faster plus I haven't gotten off in my bike all that hard like I know I could my bike only has bout 1900 miles still a baby I'm gonna make sure my tires chain are set to specks when I race him so no excuses wether I win or loose but he thinks he'll leave me like I'm sitting still but I don't think that'll happen

Gage, sounds like you have a treasure there...she is a beauty. I would care less what ur uncle says...it's tougher to find a clean 96 smoking Joe low miles Vs. a newer RR....be careful during race......the enjoyment is not about whom clocks a fast 1/4 mile...it's the attention you get when cruising down the
road with a bad *** sMokinhG jOe edition.....CBR.

Ummm your going to lose this one, you should just sit there while he launches and laugh at him for trying lol.

He'll be pulling away by the time you hit 2nd gear
