Default How much to sell for?

Hey all,

I basically wrote about this in my new member thread, but I'm thinking of selling the bike I just picked up.

I know it's hard to give me an answer to the following without seeing it, but how much could I reasonably ask for a 1996 CBR600 F3 parts bike? Mechanically it has everything, at least as far as I know, I need to go into it a bit more. Cosmetically, the tank and seat are there and look to be in good shape and the key is there luckily, but the plastics and fairing and mirrors are all missing. The computer is there, what I would refer to as the ECM but I'm unsure what they're called on bikes because I typically work on stuff from 1984 and older.

The odometer displays UNDER 4000 miles. I feel like that would be a good selling point, especially someone looking for an engine.

I do not have the title, yet. I may be getting it unless my buddy gets lazy and never gets around to it. Neither would surprise me.

So-with that info-how much is a reasonable price to ask? I think this could hit the road again, assuming the title gets to my hands, without a ridiculous amount of work. But it would be a lot of work.

If there is any other info I could provide to make this question easier to answer, please let me know.

Thanks all,
Huxley

I'm in Central New York. Sorry for not including that initially.

And to Kuroshio, thanks for moving this! I was in some sub-forum and didn't realize there was a specific F3 section. Much appreciated.

A parts bike. Maybes a couple hundred at most. Its a pain to get the title. Was it a stunt bike or something? Some regular maintenance routines on the bike including the chain it should be good to go. All depends on how much you want to spend on it to get it running right

without title no one will buy it for more than 1k (stunters and trackers might take it) but even 1k is pushing it... you'd be better off parting it out

Agreed, worthless without the title. If you can't get the title, then your better off parting it out.

It could still be a fun bike. Make it a track bike.
