Does anyone know what's soo great about the smokin joes? And how many were actually really created?

I have one myself that I just bought this summer and it's my first bike. I got it for 1700.00 and it has 23xxx miles on it. Never dropped

 

Nothin great about the smokin joes, just different paint and only a handful were made... Somebody on here should know how to find out which # yours is.

But beware, there are a lot of knock-off's so yours may not be an original SJ

yea theres kits to make them...idk if mines real but i have a 96 i think most of the97-98 ones are all kits tho

 

i had a 98 for a while. mine was origional and not a kit. i don't know why i ever sold it but oh well. it was nothing special. i did happen to get it for $2000 and it only had 9000 miles on it

 

the first bike I ever owned was a 98 smokin joes. I bought it brand new. The dealer told me they made 1500 of them. Kind of the same thing with the Repsol bikes. They made 1500 of those per year as well.

Im not 100 percent sure, but I think they only made them 2 years. 96 and 98. Any other year and they are not real.

its not like it really matters anyway. No one collects them and they are not any different other than paint.

 

They made 500 for 1996 and 1500 for 1998. Those were the ONLY two years produced!

Can someone post a pic of a 96 Smokin Joes please(I cant find one)? My buddy got one today but I dont think its a smokin joes. I also read that they have a SJ in the vin to help tell. Is that right?

 

yea it should say 600SE on the vin if its real
