I just ordered a new smoke black windscreen for mine...I think its pretty simple to install. I think just a few botls on the the sides of the screen where the fairing comes up right?? Should just be able to take those out and slide screen back in???

 

Just remove the mirrors and you can get the windscreen off.

 

thats all it takes??

 

Basically, it's not the easiest getting it off with the front fairings on, but it's totally do-able. Only other way would be to remove the all the plastics, swap the windscreen, then put all the plastics back on...but that's kinda a pain in the *** IMO.

Oh, forgot one thing though, either way you'll need to remove the inner cowl thingies that are right above the gauges.

 

by inner cowl things you mean the things that run up each side of the windscreen?

ok i got the original one off no prob...now im just waitin on the new one to come in...should be just a few days...ill put some pics up when i get it done

 

remeber right above you head light on the inside there is a clip like slot that the wind screen slides into to secure the windscreen on the bottom. I put one on one time and it wasnt in the slot and there was a gap between the screen and the fearing.

 

Sorry it took so long but i finally took some pics with the new windscreen and new mirrors on.
