How-To: Clean your Chain! PIX!
I picked up a can of Tirox Chain cleaner at Cycle Gear when it was on sale (8.99, iirc) http://www.tirox.ca/
This stuff is amazing. When I first got the bike, the chain was pretty grungy, mainly from lack of use. A good spray of the stuff and a light brushing had the chain and sprockets looking like new, with very little elbow grease.

i probably had one of the worst chains ever before I cleaned it. previous owner cleane it once in the 11k miles he rode it for. forgot to take pics but i spent about a good hour cleaning it and the rear sprocket
anyways, i used wd-40 on a rag to wipe away stuff on top/bottom, then i spray it on very carefully and then used a medium sized soft bristle toothbrush to get in middle, sprayed on some wd-40 and then water, let dry, warm up chain, and used the dupont teflon chain wax, sprays on thick, sticks, and dries fast

BTW, hows that front fender doing?
Take some pics of her for me, I miss her
Yea, I think it would be better to substitute it out.
but my chain still loves me!
my buddies caught fire today when we sync'd his stage 2.
He did the whole sync
with a cigarette in one hand, and a manual fuel pump in the other.
Go figure.

Well I figured I'd write up a simple F3 chain cleaning walkthough after my biker friend next door said,
-- "Wait, you have to clean your chain? I just put wd-40 on it"

Nice little write-up, man.
