Honda CBR600 97 Turbo?
hey, ive been asked if i wanted a turbo kit for bike costing £1995 running on stock compression 0.9 psi boost and pushing 160-180 bhp on the back wheel, would this be a good idea or should i just buy a RR? with this power i would have to extend the rear swing arm, any suggestions on what i should do? thanks

Holly crap ... .9 boost ! ... wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding hey Stretch ..lol

Gregg , don't get started on dis tubo chit ! lol
BTW - Adam ...£1995 ? that's a ton a cash mate ! ?
You can buy some great bolt on and in bits to get your ride going like a rocket for less than that ... ?

I've been toying with slapping one on the Rod ... but so far I've been a good boy and resisted ...
Can't imagine sitting in that position having my arms ripped off Gregg ?
I think maintaining your " good boy attitude " is a dam good plan man ....! lol
and another -BTW Adam ...
You are being advised here by 2 rather experienced (some might say nuts..lol )very high performance EX Turbo Jap bike owners mate ...so we are not hanging chit , it is just how it is .... :-)

My guess he means .9 bar and that would be just over 13 psi. Not sure in the bike world but in the car world 13psi on a stock motor... 10:1 ish compression... That's a TON of heat and asking for a shotgun blast on a motor... Unless it's a diesel... But that's apples to oranges to pancakes...

Well you quote Adam in your opening post , ( "0.9 psi boost") if its bar?? , well there yu go .... we can only advise on what we read mate ... !
You run 13 lbs boost through a stock bike engine and you can kiss your engine good bye at a rapid rate of knots !!
anyway .... mate , take the point we are making here .... Turbo's are a bloody great way to go fast , but if everything else on the engine is not built for higher levels of boost , your engine will die and quick !!! .....bolt some good cams in a neat pipe a few well sized jets ... a good filter and hang on !!! and at least you will be hanging on for a reasonable length of time with those type's of mods ...
but I finish this post with my favorite line .....WTF would I know !!
