I need help i tried to install an hid kit in my motorcycle but now i try to turn the motorcyle on and the light flickers and then turns off and doesnt turn back on. I tested the negative and positive pulses and i installed everything correctly. I think i might need a capisitor. Help please anyone

You need to put it on an on off switch. HIDs will switch off and the ballasts will get finicky when power is interuppted (such as starting the bike)

 

I have a HID kit on the Blackbird. When I'm sitting at a light it will start to flash if I'm sitting for sometime. Other than that's the night sun.

 

Stupid question: Would a capacitor level out the dip in voltage from the starting, and allow him to run them correctly like he wants to? I have experience with caps in autos, but not on bikes, I also wonder the effect it'd have on the charging system?
