my chain fell off the other day it was bunched up around the front sprocket after. new chain on now there is a knocking coming from the clutch area the knocking stops when in gear. any ideas.

 

Holy !@#$. What were the chain of events that lead up to that (pun intended)? Were you riding at the time ? Fast slow ?

 

Bikes usually make a rumbling sound when in neutral. Is it more of a knock than a rumble?

 

ya its knocking sounds like its from clutch area. put it in gear it stops knocking. i was going about twenty in first gear. master link fell off or broke chain became bound up on front sprocket. i did put new chain on. thanks

 

I thought the engine is supposed to explode if the chain busts

 

ha no it did not explode. that would really suck. it it just knocks when not in gear. i have not tried to ride it yet fear of making it worse. seams to shft ok though.
