Default Help With Rear Tire Selection

Well I'm finally in need of a rear tire. I'm finding out my current tire Bridgestone Battlax BT014R 170 60 17 is no longer available. I would like to stay with Bridgestone since my front tire is still in good shape!!! What would you guys recommened? I see BTO16s, 21s are available but don't know nothing about them.. Could I fit a 180 55 17 under her? Any recommendations and help would be appreciated!!!! I see Bridgestones have an assortment of BT0 series tires and I know nothing about.

Do not go with a 180, Stick to the 160. Your bike will be more flickable, handle better, and be more stable thru the corner.

If you are a really fast street rider that does alot of twisty turns, go with the bt16. If not, the 21 will be just fine.

And I run bridgestone on and off the track, have for many moons. Love them all to hell. Great tires.

It cost more, ( isnt a bridgeston like he asked)
and the bridgestone is a much better street tire, The bt016 is a fantastic tire.

Dont waste your money on the pilot powers.

I use the BT020' sold as more of a touring tire but has great grip in the wet and handles the twisties pretty good as well. The best thing about the 020 is that it lasts for a heap of miles

I've had good luck with the Powers and he did ask for a recomendation. Don't be hatin on a good tire, they may be a few extra bucks for a good reason.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The gentleman from motorcycle superstore said the 16 was the replacement for the 14s. I'll have to look into the 20 series, didn't see those while browsing. I do want to stay with the Bridgestone but definitely appreciate the input!!! I bought my bike used with 10,000 miles and now have 18+ with the 14s. I would like to think they lasted a decent amount of time!! I don't have the luxury of enjoying hard cornering where I live, everything is basically straight!!;(
