Default Help needed with Fuel tap, which position if Reserve?

I lost the left side fairing panel on my 98 cbr600 a few weeks ago. This particular panel offers a guide as to what position to put the fuel tap into for choosing the Normal or Reserve petrol reservoir. After making use of the reserve tank once or twice, I have now forgotten which way to point the dial...So I am hoping someone here would be kind enough to literally point me in the right direction...

Down is fuel on.

Horizontal is fuel off

Up is reserve on.

All 3 are relative to the arrow on the petcock. [sm=icon_ladiesman.gif]

Exactly as above...think of it as when the Petcock is pointed upwards (as in to the heavens!) you are praying you make it to a gas station and don't have to push it!

Cheers people, for sorting that one out for me...and I will remember for future the Pointing to the heavens idea...Interesting way of putting it. Anyhow, indeed, thanks for the help.

Unless you are in the habit of turning it to RESERVE when you run out then stopping at the store, filling it back up then turning it back to on. BUT if you haven't ran out and you stop to fill it up BE SURE NOT TO FLIP THE SWITCH ! ! you could run out....ask me how I know ! ! [:@]
