Ok i have the chilton book for f3 hondas ... ok all 3 circled are air vent tubes and yes they have to be hooked up. My advice is buy one of these books ... They are awsome, tells you every thingon howto over hall every inch of your bike ...The book iscalled "Haynes service and repair manual CBR F2,F3 Fours 91 to 98" and what you are looking for is on page 4.8 fuel and exhaust.... good luck with that and keep us posted

They have to be hooked up, or your bike will run like crap. The center tube goes to the lower section of the vacuum piston in your carbs. The two small hoses on the sides go to a solenoid valve which control the route of airflow. One route goes out the front fairing and is activated at low speeds. The other ties into your air intake and is for higher speeds.

i dont have a F2, ive got a 95 f3 with a 97 F3 motor....
since the solenoid valve is activated at 12 mph, could i just hook both hoses into eachother and then bypass the solenoid valve and route the hoses how the are supposed to be at 12+ mph, im guessing they would be routed to the intake?? so it would be like the solenoid is constantly activated.... what do you think??
and i dont even know where to start with the big center hose, where is the hook up for the vaccum pistons on the carbs?
