Question Help installing a manual CCT

can anyone point me in the direction or a good walk through when putting in a manual CCT? i dont wanna funk anything up and i dont wanna pay more to have someone else do it

It's only two bolts.

What do you want to know?

well you have to tighten or loosen it right? you cant just slap it on can you?

Actually you have to use a special tool to compress the tensioner before removing and installing it, so it's not just two bolts.

Here you go.

thank you so much, thats an awesome tutorial. but he does an automatic one, i have the manual, do you know the different steps i would have to take when installing it?

I don't know the steps exactly, but do a search for "chain tensioner" and you should find what you're looking for in the first few threads.

take old one out, put new one in.. hand tighten the thumbwheel and use your best judgement of how tight you think a cam chain should be. too loose = loud clanking + potential disaster. too tight = quiet, but you can imagine how much stress its putting on the cams. start it up, and listen to it. cut it off and make adjustments accordingly.
