Help Fitting Alternator Cover

Default Help Fitting Alternator Cover

Fitting a new alternator cover the reduction gear is out of place so the dowel won't align back with it but I can't move it by hand
needs to be moved forward (left if you're facing the bike) but don't know how to please help me if you can
HONDA CBR 600F (1996)

Please See Pictures I posted below hope they work i'm new here

Hmm, on my F4i, I can take that little cog out. I am pretty sure you have to put the pin in it first then realign if that makes sense. Took a little bit of work to get it back to the right place.

thanks but i can't take that gear reduction gear out (cog whatever u wanna call it) need to find a way to move it thought i would have got more replies than this by now thanks for your help though man the pin needs to stick out a little bit to go into the alternator cover too, but the problem i have now with it having moved down is that it now goes all the way into where the shaft is because that bit as a lot deeper than where it as acutally meant to be...

Gear turn? What do you mean you cant move it? You are going to have to move it to get it where it needs to be. Grab a hold of it and try to rotate and move, it will come free and you can then put it back the way the manual describes it.
