help it dies all the time
my 96 f3 has a bad problem with dieing if you dog it under 6k rpms. It runs fine if you keep the rpms up, but it is a pain in the butt. I gave it to my girlfriend to ride and she doesn't ride it as aggressive as i did so it is causing a problem. Which means i end up on the old f3 and give here my 05 rr to cruise on. No fun. anybody got any suggestions
This gets covered alot!!
here we go...It sounds like dirty carbs, somthing is plugging your idle jet it sounds...or here is a stupid question?? When does it die??if it is only after it drops down near idle then what I said is probally true, or it could be a fuel delivery problem ( such as an old in line fuel filter if you have one installed)
If it has sat for a long time it is in need of a carb cleaning ( remove the carbs and pull the float bowls and remove and clean/replace the jets if plugged) If you have a service manual this is covered in that book
