help with clutch adjuster
Today on my way to work I noticed that the lock nut on the clutch adjuster was spinning around freely. When I had a chance to stop I noticed that the adjuster was turned out away from the clutch perch almost all the way (to the point where it would wiggle if touched). This gave the locknut about a 1/2 inch to slide back and forth in the space between the perch and the adjuster. My question is, should the adjuster be screwed in closest to the perch, or unscrewed out towards the windshield?

Screw the locknut and adjuster all the way in and unscrew the locknut out 1 turn. Follow the cable to the clutch and basiclly adjust it at the clutch by losing the lock nut at the clutch and screwing the adjuster in or out then screw back on the lock nut.
I always do the lock nut up with a flat headed screwdriver, you can leaver it in one of the cut outs and tighten it more than you can by hand, this will prevent it from working its way loose, I also do this on the one under that throttle.
