I want to change out my fairing to give my '98 f3 an upgraded look. Is it possible to fit 1000rr headlight casing into a f4i racing fairing kit? This may be a completely absurd question, but I thought I'd try. Thank you in advance!

are you keen enough on fabrication to pull it off? i dunno

we don't know much about what you've done to your bike currently.
give us some background... have you bought either of the 2 yet?

personally speaking, this is a big project... going to take some time and quite a bit of modification, including adding a second headlight to your bike.

other than it seems a bit smaller than and has more room for the lights than the f3 fairing stay.

If you plan to pull this off, you might be one of the first to do it, and we'd like to see pictures, which also allows us to help if you run into a problem.

But considering that, sure... i think you can pull it off.
finding out if its physically possible might be something only you can find out

I haven't done much fabrication on bikes per-say, however I have before and I do have a keen eye for it. The bike is completely stock, the biggest 'upgrades' this bike has seen are a new fuel and oil filter. Oh and a black blotchy paint job by a previous owner.

After some research the most common thing I see is changing out 01-03 f4i fairing and headlights... And after looking at the OEM charts for both an 01 f4i headlights and an 08 1000rr headlights, I decided it would be all too much work to do.

Currently I am looking at whether I can get the racing f4i fairings and just cut out the upper cowl to create the opening for the headlights or I have to get an actual 'street' upper cowl.

The project continues.
