Default guage question...

Hey guys. I'm wondering if it's possible to hook up a guage cluster from a newer cbr on my 98 f3? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

F4i is a popular swap, just hope you're good at splicing wires and stuff.

Well since the guage that comes stock on mine doesn't have a fuel guage, would I be able to wire it so the new fuel guage would work with my bike?

You'd have to find an F4i fuel level sensor and somehow figure out a way to work with the F3 fuel tank. Oh, and you'll also need to get an F4i engine temperature sensor. If you get those two things, then i'd imagine it's just a matter of wiring it all into the new gauges.

Oh, and you'll also need to modify your stock fairing stay.

i installed F4i gauges this past Tuesday.

You need a 1999 900RR engine temp sending unit (not the one in the radiator). I used some plexiglass to make a mount for the new gauges. I'll get the pics on here probably tomorrow.

There is a how to around if you google it up

Scrufdog...I'm pretty sure the original guages didn't have a gas level indicator. Were you able to hook it up with the new guage cluster and your bike so that the gas indicator worked? If so, how'd you do it?
