Your right Jules, I am thorough with my preride inspections. Mainly because I hate to do things twice and I don't trust stealerships. I'll put up pics as I go along.

Yes do put up pics as you go along please ... I love reading about others' restorations and projects ..seeing the finished work :-)

Here is a small update, the bearings in my swing arm are rusting . I'm going to replace them since they aren't that hard to get out. Luckily I found a place in OR that sells them for just a fraction of what Honda wants for them.
jahnaboi, I really like how you painted the frame black. I did that with a buddy about 4 or 5 years ago on a project bike. The end paint job on the bike was like the F4 orange and black. What paint scheme are you looking to go with on the fairings?

Ok, here is an update on where I'm at. I started getting into things and finding a lot of things that have failed. I was looking at the carbs and discovered that I had some really bad leaks I need to invest a pretty penny into the carbs, my cush drives are worn out, speed sensor o ring has gone bad, repairing rust on my radiator fan shroud, and some interesting debrie in my coolant system. Here are some pics
The next few pics are of the carbs before I cleaned them up.
Here are the carbs post cleaning.
Here is the rest of my carbs
Here is the work of my fan shroud. I forgot take some pics of what it was before but I do how some in its current state.
My cush drives which are in pretty bad shape. Two of them have failed and the others are on their last leg.
Here is a nice shot of my garage

Before I took the bike apart, I was noticing some slipping that wasn't in the clutch. It's kinda hard to explain but the best that I can describe as best I can. The slip was only when I got on it a little and it was like the chain was slipping just a tiny bit. There was plenty of tension in the chain and none of the teeth were missing on the sprockets so I knew it wasn't the chain slipping. I'll let you know how the new ones feel when I get them in and the bike running agian. I think it's going to be a little while though. The nice thing about being in the house is that you have heat... the garage is a little cold.
