Mine does it too (98f3) and I suspect it to be the carbs being slightly out of balance. I am hoping to borrow a guage and get them all sync'ed and see if it goes away. That's what cured it on my old 78 750K that I was restoring....we'll see and I will let you guys know...I am going to check the cam chain adjustment as well just to be sure.

Update - I know that the noise I am refering to is not the clutch basket - I now agree with the local dealer and believe the noise to be from the front sprocket. As I have now noticed that with more riding after the chain has been lubed the noise is gone and takes about 20 - 30 km for it to return. So I will keep lubing the chain every day and as soon as I can afford a set of new sprockes and chaini willget them fitted. I will post in this thread as soon as I have the new gear fitted to let you all know if it fixes the noise.
