gauge cluster not getting power
on my 96 f3 my gauge cluster died the other day completely no lights or moving needles or turn signals (the copper traces on the back and all the bulbs are good fuses all good), and while testing things out i noticed my battery had overcharged and had boiled over and i had a parasitic power draw, found out my regulator was sucking .54 volts while plugged in (it did test ok no blown diodes or ohms out of spec, but it was at 13.8 volts idle, hit 14v around 2k and maxed at 14.4 above 5k), but the cheap aftermarket one i had for testing draws .06 parasitically (which seems in spec if i did the math right manual says 1.2 milliamps ) so i think that was my problem, and it took the gauges with it ( stator had perfectly fine ohm values and no shorts both hot and cold)
but before i buy a new one i just wanted to make sure i didnt short the wiring somewere because the only wire out of both of the gauge plugs im getting 12v on is the solid pink one from behind the speedo dial plug(not the pink with green line), some of the other plug wires give .1 to .3 volts is this normal?
