Gas?!
Ok, so the guy who owned the bike before me use to fill up the bike (95 F3) with premium gas. So now i'm a bit confused about what I should continue to fill up on the bike.
I searched up on the internet but got so many weird answers i'm confused. I'm about to just keep putting in 89-premium/plus gas. Help?
I had a classic bike before and i put in just 87 regular gas and it was fine.
But this bike a sport and different i just want to know.

youre going to get a different answer from most people, will the bike be fine with 87 in it? sure, but i personally run 89+, some say its a waste of money, but im not concerned about spending an extra $.30-.40 each fill up.
I'm not concerned about the extra few bucks but i just want to make sure that if i continue to fill it up with 89+ it wont harm the bike.
Look in the factory booklet, I know my 02 F4i says it will run on regular (87). I have run (91) since I picked it up with the exception of one fill up at (87). No difference performance wise was noticed with the lower grade

Not looking for a performance boost of any kind. Just did some searching in the manual and i didn't find much information. So I'm going to just assume it will be alright to fill up the bike with 89 or 91+ gas.
Thank you fellas!

The question of which fuel to run has been asked, and answered, many times. Your F3 will run best on 87. It's what Honda designed it to run on. (It should say in the owner's manual, service manual, and on the bike itself).
Higher octane fuels have more additives than regular. They are a slower burning fuel to control pre-detonation in higher compression engines. The higher the octane number, the more compression the fuel can withstand before detonating.
You are not hurting your engine by using 91, but are sacrificing a tiny bit of performance for the privilege to spend more money.
BTW, 91 RON = 87 AKI (U.S.)

I love you guys! Thank you!!
(Sorry i'm a new owner... this is my second bike but my first sport bike so just a bit worried i suppose! and with having only about a year of riding under my belt.. makes it even scarier)
