Default Fuel Leaking from Overflow Tube With NEW OEM Fuel Pump

sooo... i've been having some issues with my 98 honda CBR with it running properly (see thread: https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-600f3...t-gear-144064/ )

i noticed a sticky thread that mentioned out fuel pumps being an issue and i purchased one like a year ago but never installed it cause it started running fine after i pulled apart carbs and cleaned them. but looking back at fuel pump contacts they were worn pretty bad and making contact but "/" sideways contact. so i figured "what the hey, i got a 250$ fuel pump sitting her why not use it. " but i installed it tonight. got bike to finally start once fuel was through system and idols rough. as soon as i put any gas into it it dies. and then i noticed that over flow tube is leaking....so gotta be a bad seal? (like what was mentioned in this thread: https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-600f-...erflow-149579/ ?

please let me know i cant stand not ing my bike

more than likely..just bypass the pump to gravity feed until you get a chance to rebuild one of them..

I'm thinking maybe a stuck float. If they stick down, then the float bowl over-fills and drains onto the deck. Maybe there's a piece of trash stuck in your float's seat, or somehow the pin about which the float rotates is bound up?
