fuel filter..
What kind of fuel filter is everybody running?
I've heard a lot of guys with Ducati's are running fuel filters from napa and autozone, which are a lot cheaper. My dealer wants $20, but I can get a similiar one from autozone for ~$5. I figure at that price I can replace it with every oil change.
Is a motorcycle filter any different than an automotive filter?

Nope. It's all identical. You shouldn't pay more than $10 for a filter. You get zero performance gain from a fuel filter. The hoses are so fat and the jets suck in fuel so fine that the filter isn't offering any bottleneck resistance. Replacing it at every oil change is absolutely unnecessary, and a total waste of your time, as the time involved in getting to it is relatively substantial. The fuel filter should only be changed when clogged, and that should almost never happen, so long as you don't constantly run the petcock on reserve.
