Does anybody know where I can get ahold of one of these? It's what holds the instrument panel, wiring, and relays up in front of the bike.

Look around on eBay. There is a difference between F2 and F3.

Its called a Front Fairing Stay...
on ebay they range about 80-100 bucks for one in good shape.

Make sure it's an F3 one (1995-1998),
as any others won't match up when it comes to the plastics.

There are actually some subtle differences between the 95/96 model and the 97/98 models. Probably not enough to be concerned about though. You need to look at them real close if you're going to go with a used one. It's probably the single most often damaged part of the bike (not including the fairings). It gets bent easily, but due to it's shape, when it's off the bike, it's really hard to tell if it's damaged. If it is bent, then it can be a bugger to get the upper and lower fairings to line up correctly. You can purchase a brand new one for about $140 delivered, so keep that in mind.

Probable it had always had a slight bend to it cause the uppers never quite fit right. Odd thing, the new one was slightly bent on the right headlight mount (didn't notice when I took delivery). But that only took a pair of pliers to fix

When you say differences, those won't affect the plastic mounting will it?
I was inclined to believe they were the same in the aspect.
What differences are you talking about?
