Default Front Rotor

So one of my front brake rotors rubs pretty bad while I'm riding. I looked up the OEM part and it was $325!!!!!!!!!! I can't manage that kind of dish out of my money. Has anyone had this problem before and found a better deal replacing it, or is there any way it can be fixed without replacement?

I just replaced my rotors with some used ones for about 100.00 ebay i would just make sure that you check the thickness of the yoour rotors and the used ones u buy, if u buy used? , i dont have new money to spend on new parts, i got old money. my old ones were right at the lowest tolerance,u can get the tolerance out of manuel.
I really dont know what you mean by rubbing while you ride , are the warped have you taken them off and check thickness or put on a indicator to check straightness before spending money.
good luck that **** is expensive to fix but brakes are the most important , i think

Are you saying that it is bent and give a pulsating feeling when you're riding ? Or is it rubbing all the time ? Disk brakes by their nature are rubbing all the time to a slight degree. But if it's dragging continously, then it's probably not the rotor, but the calliper or more specifically one of the pistons in the calliper. If your bike goes through seasonal cycleswhere you don't ride it for months and then ride for the summer, then it's more likely to have the calliper pistons get stuck or be dirty enough to where they don't retract normally.

If it's dragging all the time, I'd look at rebulding the callipers. Easy job and best of all, it's inexpensive to do.

it makes the noise all the time. While riding it sounds like it's fluctuating, which is why I think it's the rotor. My dad lifted the front end for me and I spun the tire and clearly heard the metallic contact of the spinning (if that makes sense, trying to describe a noise isn't as easy as I thought, haha)

Yes, but you normally hear the sound of the pads rubbing against the rotors. The catch is, that there shouldn't be any significant drag against the wheel spinning freely. What you really need to do is put the bike up on some paddock stands ( don't just do the front or the bike will fall over, you need to put the back up on a stand first), barrow them if you have to. Then spin the wheel and watch closely the rotor. See if it's warped or not. It should be obvious if it is. If you can't see it wobling, then I'm pretty sure the problem is a stuck calliper piston. It's an easy fix.

Well, when I took the tire to the shop to get it replaced, I had them check the rotor (they basically put the rim on a long axle and rolled that on bearings) and it checked out fine, so if there's problems its gonna be with the calipers it looks like. I'm trying to decide what to do first.

-I need a new chain (if cleaning doesnt suffice)
-Need to change the oil (which by the way, someone posted an article on a thread about the oil filters but I lost the article so if someone can link me to that I would greatly appreciate it since Im going to need a new filter when I change the oil anyway)
-May need to rebuild the front calipers (it could be both, not just one)

I'm thinking I should just take apart the whole front end, that way I could inspect it thoroughly and check every part of it for wear (since I bought it used), but I dont have that kind of garage space available, nor that kind of patience when it's still riding season, nor that kind of courage knowing I could face up to thousands coming out of my wallet to get everything in perfect running order. It's my first bike for $2750, Im wondering how much I should put into it, but also thinking the habits I establish now will follow me the rest of my riding days.
