Default Frame sliders RH diffrent from LH?

Okay, last year I picked up a set of sliders in a deal with a front rim. Their black and plastic with press/molded aluminum bases on them, some average ebay sliders. Now I have drilled out my plastic and am getting some shorter bolts that what were given to be because the ones supplied are way too long...1"+

Anyway, the sliders are diffrent lengths so I figure one is for left and one is for right. One is about 3.75" long and the other is 4.50" long. Now when I was setting up to drill my plastic, I could not figure out which side should get which! I'm just checking to see if any of you have gone thru this process already WITH the original directions telling you that the longer one goes on the right/left.

Otherwise I figured that I'd put the longer one on the RH side since that's the most common spill side.

first off...howd you get away with writing such a long post without the forum slapping you in the face and cutting off most of it??

Anyways, at least with mine, the bolts were the same, the sliders appeared to be the same..but inside there is more plastic on the left side making the bolt stick out not as far as the right side...my guess why is to save money so they dont have to buy two lengthed bolts.

Redz, since your sliders are of equal lenght off the frame, do they stick out of the plastic equal from side to side?
