Default Forks on an F3

I can get the whole front end off a Kawasaki ninja zx6 2010. For like 100 bucks. I wanna know if I can use parts to hook up my 1998 cbr 600 front end. Like can I switch em. Any info would help I'm meeting him tomorrow The front of the zx6 is really good. And I see the forums on the 600rr swap. But 100 bucks. Im hoping some1 will tell me that with minimal work like changing the bearings or adding washers it could work

Thanks a lot in advance.

I couldn't tell you for sure but for that price...buy it anyway. Allballsracing.com has a chart of stem bearing sizes so you could use that to compare the f3 with the zx6r.

That link was amazing. I'm saving up for something that bolts up and that chart lists them in perfect order. Maybe 2012 cbr 250 if i can find em Thanks again.

The 250's forks aren't the best option. I have one and they really are meant for a small bike. Look into gsxr forks. The bottom bearing is the same size as cbr's for most models and the top bearing just has to be swapped out. I'm doing a gsxr for swap on my f3 and it is pretty much a straight swap minus the top bearing.

And gsxr stuff is usually much easier to find and cheaper btw

That sounds great. But I would need to kno what year to buy. I see the 07 08 are inverted. That's whut I want. I think the same for the 05 06 So basically that's what I'm going for. But what cc 600 750 or 1000 I have a check coming that I wanna order what I need and then spend some winter cold time to set it up.

Found a deal on 2002 750 forks. Will those work. Thanks I'll buy em today if it really can be done. And even a couple pointers along the way would help a lot

Mainly what from the F3 will I be able to reuse. Or should I buy 1 that comes with a wheel. Calipers. Brake line. And levers.

Your better off finding a complete front end with wheel and all the odds and ends. It makes it much easier than trying to source everything individually.

The front from the levers, calipers, master cylinder, brake lines, spacers/axle, front wheel does need to be swapped over. I have this '98 750 Gsxr fork swap on my bike. Your wheels won't match, but no one can tell at 80 MPH.

It is amazing difference it is. Like a completely different bike. I highly recommend the 120/70/17 tire, the Gsxr forks are a 1 1/4" shorter than the F3's. You will feel the difference immediately in the turns. You will be very glad you did this swap to inverted forks. The stiffness on your front end means way better handling than the F3's by a far margin.

in my opinion you would be better off just saving some money and getting a company like ohlins or the US equivelent of maxton to do the suspension setup. just what i think though

Racetech makes affordable forks better than Ohlins. But just get the swap done first, then worry about internals and name brands. Just my opinion.
