Fork seals Are LEAKING!!!! HELP
I left my bike in the garage for a couple of days. And i came back today and their was liquid running down right fork and dripping down to my tire. I took it to the shop and they told me my fork seal was broken (the right side) He said it would cost me 250 to have them change. Is this expensive? Is this a job I can do on my own? Does anyone know how to do it? I'm kinda broke right now and its gonna run me dry spending 250 on that jjob. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CHANGE IT?? PLEASE HELPP!!

Do you have a manual?. Its a job you can to yourself, its a bugger, but as long as you remain calm & methodical, no wukkin furries. The bike needs to be supported by more than its stand, as your going to be taking the front wheel off. you need a place thats out of the weather, a garage if you have one. I don't know about the $250, but its a time consuming job & thats wot your paying for,
The actual cost of the seal(s) & oil is minimal.

Its an easy job. Like pacemaker said, start first with supporting the front end or whole bike. I use a engine hoist/cherry picker and six racket straps to lift the bike up off the ground. Also make not of the cable and wire harness routing. Here are the steps:
1. Remove fairings and front fender.
2. Remove the front wheel.
3. Remove the front brake system including the resivoir from the right handle bar.
4. Put slack in the clutch cable to allow you to remove the cable from the clutch lever.
5. Unplug the left handle bar switche from behind the dash.
6. Remove the clutch bar.
7. Loosen the pinch bolt on the throttle bar.
8. Loosen pinch bolts on the lower and upper triple clamps. Do one side at a time so that the fork leg doesnt fall on the ground.
9. When dropping out the right fork leg, hold onto the bar so that it doesnt fall off and hit something. When fork leg is removed, let the throttle bar hang on something.
If anything, you can just take the forks to the shop which should save you some $. If you want more info, like servicing the forks yourself, let us know. We will be happy to get you through that as well.

Its an Australianism, Spelling is changed, but phonetically its the same, plus you swap the 1st letter on each word.
