float bowl seals
Allright fellas after way to long of a period of time i am back and eager to get my f3 back on the road again. So a bit over a year ago I stopped riding my f3 due to some starting issues. it would only roll start cold and a few times the fuel pump cut out leaving me stranded. So i worked on the contacts for the fuel pump and did a valve adjustment ( man those shims are a pain) cleaned the carbs, Put it all back together and the seals in between the carbs where the fuel lines go in blew out. So i have been putting it off to fix until now. My supermoto has kept me well entertained for the meantime. So last week i got the o-rings for the t joints and a new contact switch for the fuel pump and put it all back together. and now the bowl on #1 carb is leaking. I knew this was probably going to happen because last time I opened the carbs the bowl seals looked horrible. So i looks like they are either 23 bucks a piece oem or 69 to 80 $ for a kit containing 4 seals and 4 new float needles. Ha s any one seen these items for any less expensive than this. or maybe even a kit containing just 4 bowl seals? Thanks

When you buy item #2 here you get the float bowl gasket, the idle air screw O ring, the bowl drain screw O ring, the jet needle holder O ring, and the air box to carburetor gasket.
Doesn't it make sense that if the float bowl gasket is bad, the others are too. They're all (likely)the same age.

Yeah I'm sure that all the o-rings need to be replaced but at $88 for that #2 item I just couldn't swing it right now. I'm sure though now that you said something and I have allready ordered the parts that one of those O rings will fail. Only seems right as they are all the same age. I've got the carb removal down pat now but man I hate putting them on only to take them right back off. And while I've got you (idodirt) how do you prime the carbs after reinstalling them. The only luck I've had was to straight wire the fuel pump but I was worried about the pressure it was putting on the seals. But it was the only thing that worked for me.
