Default Fixing up newly purchased 97 F3

I just purchased my 97 cbr f3 a few weeks ago. I was wondering if I could get some help since I haven't purchased a manual for it yet.

1) What are the front and rear sizes for the tires. I thought the front was 120/70-17 but i don't know what the back is.
2) what does the ZR stand for when purchasing tires?

I also need to clean the carbs. Is there any fuel additives that actually work to clean these?? Or am I going to have to bite the bullet and bring it in to get it done. I was told it would cost around $200. I think that I need something done since I get the occasional backfire from my bike. It's not too bad ....it kinda sounds cool with the Vance and Hines slip-on.

I also need to install either the factory turn signals, or new turn signals in the front. There are 3 wires/connectors for each side on the bike, but on the factory turn signals, it is a plug. Do i need to chop this to make it fit? The aftermarket one has only 2 wires with a plug......this means no ground????? not really sure how to proceede with this. I don't want to hack at the bike if i don't need to.

The 3 connectors for each side look like this

Thanks in advance

as far as carbs go, i suppose you could try fuel injector cleaner?
Someone will probably post after me with a 72 pt. font "NOOOO", but I don't see how it would hurt.
aftermarket signals use 2 wires.
use the search function to figure out the tire things.
dont buy a manual, download the pdf.

Front is 120/60/17 rear is 160/60/17. You don't need to clean your carbs unless the bike is running like **** or something. The backfire just indicates you may need to rejet your carbs.

THat's what they said. I couldn't remember the name for it untill you said it. SO...rejetting the carbs is different than cleaning them?

also, is there a link to the pdf manual anywhere?

The occasional back fire can be from several things. I would inspect the spark plugs. My guess is that they are old and need to be replaced. A word of advice, it'll be just $220 to leave the carbs at the shop. If they were to be worked on, the technician would have to replace parts. With the carbs, to get on little o-ring requires that you get entire kits for each individual carb (4 kits total @ $30 + dollars a pop). You could easily rack up a $500 bill from the shop. Just be careful with taking them to the shop.

Sweet. I will grab it when i get home.

So with cleaning the carbs.... you suggest getting new spark plugs. Anything else that is cheap that I can try to alleviate the backfire????

The bike drives good, and it doesn't affect the drivability, I appreciate all the feed back on ways to improve the bike without breaking the bank.

"Z" is a speed rating in tires. Z are the best rated tire and can handle excessive speeds at long durations. This does not mean that your bike can handle 240+ MPH.

"R" means radial.

Different speed ratings (maximum design/test speed)
J = 100
N = 140
P = 150
S = 180
H= 210
V = 240
Z = 240+
