Hello to all, I bought a 1998 f3 that had extensive damage to the fairings which i had reapaired and repainted. The fairings were held in place by small locking screws with small handles that rotated up so you could turn them to either lock or loosen them without having to use tools. I have not seen them anywhere on line as far as ordering goes, nor does the local hardware store carry them. Does anyone know what and where I can get them from because right now I am lost. Any input would help thanks.

 

Are you talking about the ones on the side covers (one on each) or the ones on the front underside of the fairing (L & R for the stays & 2 L & R for the headlight access panel?)
The one for the stays are fairly generic, you can get the OEM ones for Honda or pay half the price & get the generic ones (same thing) As for the ones on the side covers, I doubt you would find anything at an Auto store & still look neat (no doubt they would have something you could use) If you can't afford new (well all know Honda & the rest like to charge for their stuff) then try a few bike wreckers. You may have trouble finding the right colour match though.

 

Its the ones that connect the lower fairing to the upper section, on my bike i have 3 holes for each side but i only have 3 fasteners. If you are talking about the generic ones do you know where i can get them?

 

I've tried to pull up a schematic but the resolution is crap.
I have an F3 & on mine, (if you excuse the crude drawing) the triangular shape of say the right side (facing the bike) the top two holes are
the quick fasteners. Middle ones (Actually there are two, forgot to add it) are for screws. You can get them at any reasonable bike shop, but they do come in several sizes so check 1st.
