Default Factory advancer

Hey all, havent been here in awhile!

I just ordered a factory ignition advancer for my 98 F3 +2 degrees. For anyone having one on a F3, How is it? Worth it?? Can you tell a difference?? How is it to install??

Thanks in advance!!

Well it went on very easily. Very strait foward. Took about 30 minutes to install, thats including taking off, and installing the right side fairing. I cant comment on the ridability or any power increase, as it was flooding today. But it did seem to start up alot better. Not like it was hard to start before just "hit" better if you know what I mean. I will ride it tommorrow afternoon, and comment then on the ride!

Nice. A definate increase in throttle response in the low/mid areas. Maybe alittle boost in hp in those areas. Couldnt really tell a difference in top end, but the midrange is definately better. The throttle response is what shocked me, great!! All in all was definately worth it!

Do you have to change fuel octane when you advance the spark?

ORIGINAL: f3racer

i have a factory igntion advancer advanced 3 deg, on the dyno it only showed about 1 1/2 hp and2 ft lb of torque, but the throttle responce and fule mileage was better.
Hey where were you a few posts ago??? [:@]

But 1 1/2hp and 2ft/lb of torque is great for 60 bucks!!! and even better on a bike. You would never notice 2hp and 2 ft/lb on a car! But I agree the midrange is boosted even more!

Great to hear. I'll get one for sure.

Which my setup will be a 96 F3 with Factory Pro Needles and Springs(No Jets) set up for a Full V&H exhaust and possibly a BMC air filter. I will dyno it(With and without the filter) when I get it all on. Probably be a month before I can dyno but I'll let you know.
