Replaced my old worn out shock with an F4 shock yesterday. Works great and I am really pleased with the way the bike sits and rides. Of course the kickstand is a little short. So I need to deal with that.

Was wondering if anyone could steer me in a direction? Looking at either extending or replacing the stand with another. Is there one off of a different model that works well or should I have it extended? I don't weld, so I am not sure what the best path would be. It is working for now, so I can deal with it, but would like to make it better soon.

as a temp you can always put it on a block of wood.

but i would either make a bracket for it... or perhaps look into getting a kickstand on a highrise bike like a ducati

I do that now and, personally, it sucks azz. Can't put it anywhere without the block of wood. Otherwise I get nervous that it'll fall over.

I have a "ghetto-modded" kickstand that came with my bike if you want it.. I'm still trying to find someone that will trade my F4i shock for an F3 because I'd rather not deal with changed specs as such..

 

make a block of steel an inch and a half down for new brackets.
you should be fine.

Bracket is the cheapest and easyest way to extend sidestand mate.
I was in a rush making that one in the link but with a bit of time it can look like it was made by Mr.Honda himself.
And you'll always have the option of getting it stock again.

 

My bike doesn't lean over that much? (not enough for me to worried that it is going to fall over anyway) but may I compare a little to much with my dirt bike haha maybe my sense of normal is a little warped.
