After seeing yours I think I may. Where'd you buy the new shock? Ebay?

 

Yeah I am from Australia and all the shock i could find at wreckers were about $100 AUD. So i went on Ebay US and bought it with all linkages delivered to Aus for $65 AUD, so it worked out well.

 

Its a beaty you have there. Just purchased a F4 shock on Ebay.
Will install it on my 96 F3 as soon as it arrives.

Bumping an old thread so as not to start yet another f4i shock on an f3 thread but I had some additional questions.

Did you actually go out and buy an f4/f4i kickstand or did you modify the stock one? Or did you leave the stock one and how did it affect the angle when parked on lets say a hill or something?

Notice any negative handling affects from the swap? (i.e. dreaded wobble at high spped).
