F4 gauges - straight swap for f3?
I've done a search, which is incredibly difficult when the search needs more than 3 characters!
Haven't found the info that i need.
I'm getting tired of having no clock on the bike, as daft as that sounds! I use the bike to commute and often go out on it and have to stop and pull my phone out of my pocket to check the time.
Do the F4 gauges have a clock? and are they a straight swap? I looked at the F4i gauges, but dont really have the time of the patience to swap them over.
Thanks

They do.
Look at my sig, i did a write up on the swap. The clock needs a dedicated 12v from the battery (with an inline 10amp fuse). Otherwise your clock will not work; you could wire it up to your ignition 12v, but with each restart of the bike, you would have to reset your clock.
The stock harness from the f4i gauge can be matched if you go to an electronics outlet, i would do that route. From experience, I wish I went that route. There are numerous write ups about the wiring configuration. in fact, just google f3 to f4i gauge swap. Look at the google images and you will find an image someone did that tells you how to match wire colors.
good luck.
