Default F3 vacuum system

Has anyone had any luck removing the vacuum system and just plugging the ports on the carbs.

I have to admit i have not looked into this at all just enough to see that there is a lot of hose behind the carbs with the fuel, coolant, and vacuum i would love to pull it all out and make for for some wiring and electronics to go there.

Did you plug the vacuum ports in the carbs? What about the vent control, just disconnect it?

Oh, that I don't know... You may get a better answer on a designated racing forum like wera... I know a few guys run on a f3 there

I just remembered, if you plug those vaccum holes completely, you'll maybe have issues at low speeds... from what I read up to 12mph, but we only go 12 for about 1 second...

What exactly are the advantages of doing this? aside from having lots of room beneath? Im very interested in doing this but is it worth it messing with hondas setup? I have a cali model so i would love to see a write up, i checked the cbrworld and couldnt find much

The F3 stock comes with Cold Air Induction (or a form of it), when you remove the hoses and the electronics and hook up the hoses a specific way you turn the CAI into a Direct Air Induction.

Give me a few min, I'll find the thread - site is still down, hootie I'm not sure how you searched their site when they're down :\
