F3 rejetting questions

Back from the trip, couple weeks late from updating:


Before I left, I put the paper Emgo filter in, which helped a bit and got me on the trip just fine, though the bouncing idle still comes and goes.

I noticed when I was up north, I was running ethanol free premium (almost every gas station in michigan's upper peninsula has it) and the problem almost completely went away.

I tried to do an idle drop before I left, but even with the right D shaped tool, the screws wouldn't budge, so when I get some free time I'll have to pull the carbs, spin them out and try to clean in there.

Luckily, just putting the paper filter in has made the bike totally rideable and the problems are minor for right now.

Hunter- if your pipe is that modified, you definitely need to re-jet, but I don't believe the platinum plugs would cause a single problem.

ok update i live in fl. iv been running 93 gas just went down to 89 see if that help well it made the sputter come at a lower speed and now the sputter is at 8-9 then bam a bat aouta hell... is this rly a jet problem. can u adj the stock needles? and could i just order bigger jets an throw them in??? its cheaper that way. lol. but in need of help. or could it just need another good cleaning? bike does not sputter when outa gear only under load.
